|
| The BCA was formed in 1973 and has over 90% of UK casinos
in membership. The BCA works hard for the benefit of its members,
successfully negotiating with various Government departments as well as the
industry's regulatory body, the Gambling Commission. It has an
extensive network of contacts in the media, the House of Commons, the House
of Lords and other bodies in the gambling industry. |
|
| There are two types of BCA membership: |
|
| Full Membership which may be
if the
applicant has at least one land-based casino in Great Britain which is fully
operational. |
|
| Affiliate Membership which may be
if the
applicant has been given a Certificate of Consent by the Gambling Commission but
does not yet have an operational casino. Affiliate members are offered the
same membership benefits as full members except they do not have the right
to vote. Once an affiliate member has an operational casino, they may then
become a full voting member of the BCA and full membership subscriptions
would apply. |
